How to create a simple animated signature! | 15 EASY STEPS | BEGINNER GUIDE - Airness - Nov 14, 2017 Preview Spoiler (Click to View) Tools Needed Spoiler (Click to View) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TUTORIAL STEP 1 | Creating a new project Start a new project in photoshop. I use the forums width and length. If you are using this tutorial for HackForums, I suggest you use 650 x 200. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 2 | Creating the background color To create a colored background, we are going to select the rectangle tool. After, we are going to get the color of the forums signature space. For HackForums it's #333333. Once we have the color selected, drag the tool from one corner to the other corner. This will fill up the transparent or blank space. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 3 | Creating the text This step is very simple, all you need to do is create text; with the text tool. The fun part of this step is the possibilities you have. You may choose whatever font you'd like, size of the text, color, and so on. For me, I chose the word "Airness" and the color red. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 4 | Enabling our timeline To enable our timeline, we are going to select the "Window" tab and enable "Timeline". After that, select "Create timeline" at the bottom. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 5 | Switching timeline modes Now we are going to be switching to a different timeline mode. When we switch, it will be more like an actual timeline. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 6 | Enabling "No Delay" This isn't a step you should get confused you, just watch the gif and you will understand. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 7 | Creating the "White Rectangle" I didn't really know what to name this step but its basically starting to create the "reflections" effect. You will need to create a White rectangle with the rectangle tool. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 8 | Mess around with the "White Rectangle" For this step, you may do whatever you want. Then again, you may do whatever you want for any step! Anyways, I like to tilt my rectangle. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 9 | Creating a clipping mask This step is fairly simple and easy to understand. We are going to be masking the white rectangle to our text from before. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 10 | Making the effect to our liking This step, you may do whatever you please. For this tutorial, I will only be lowering the opacity of the white rectangle. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 11 | Create a new frame This step is super simple, all you have to do is create a new frame to your timeline. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 12 | Creating the effect On the newest frame, we just created, click on the white rectangle layer and hit Ctrl + T and use the right arrow key to move it all the way to the other side. Use the arrow key because if you don't, you can mess up how its lined up properly. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 13 | The "Motion Tween" For this step, we are going to be creating a motion tween. This is basically what makes the animation smooth. When it asks you how many frames to add, depending on how fast or slow you want it; add anywhere from 25 being slow to 50 being fast. I use 25. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 14 | See how it turned out This isn't really a step but just here so you can see how yours turned out. Spoiler (Click to View) STEP 15 | Rendering it To render it's really easy. Just click the 3 little rectangles at the bottom left of your screen. Spoiler (Click to View) After you do that, click the arrow on the bottom and put in the settings you want. Spoiler (Click to View) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS TUTORIAL! TOOK ME OVER 3 AND A HALF HOURS TO MAKE. THANK YOUS ARE ALL I WANT!
