Weird noise when my PC wakes up? - Lukas - Nov 15, 2017 When I wake my PC up it sounds like this weird "techy" noise coming out of my speakers. It hasn't ever done that until recently, more than likely no less than two days ago. I was in bed and my PC woke up for some reason, a few second after it full woke up, there's this horrid noise that lasted for about a second or two. I've looked on Tom's Hardware, Microsoft, along with additional sources, but nothing. It's not a grinding sound, I'm not having any problem with my graphics, just this noise upon startup. Next time I wake my computer up I'll try and record the noise to assist with assumptions. Looking for all help. Thanks! RE: Weird noise when my PC wakes up? - Charm ❤️ - Nov 15, 2017 Discord me a video or something with the noise as techy doesn't seem specific. I guess it cant be grinding as you said above. There is a possibility it isn't your fans either. RE: Weird noise when my PC wakes up? - Toddeh - Nov 17, 2017 You're overthinking it. Take the side off your PC and literally listen for where the sound is coming from. RE: Weird noise when my PC wakes up? - Nibblerino - Nov 17, 2017 Are you sure it's coming from the speakers? I'd imagine it'd be the hard drive making that sound. There are some weird Windows noises too, you might have accidentally enabled one of those. Maybe try disabling Windows notifications (not with Volume Mixer, look up a tutorial for it) and see if that stops it. Either way it's probably no big deal. RE: Weird noise when my PC wakes up? - GREN4DE! - Nov 17, 2017 not your phone next to the speaker is it ;) im joking some time after update to drivers or even firmware plays havoc with sound issues. need to give more comparisons, |
