PSS Prestige Requirement - Omniscient - Nov 26, 2017 I'm aware that a few members who are sellers here use proxies to create new accounts and then bump their threads. Issue is almost entirely in PSS. I've decided to require a Prestige score of 5 for PSS posting unless upgraded into L33t or Ub3r. So that will end the abuse rather quickly. Thank you. RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - reBELLYus - Nov 26, 2017 Sellers are creating new accounts to bump their threads? Wow, individuals sure are desperate. I hope some kind of punishment is handed down for this abuse. Good work here - keeps things fair and competitive. RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - Copywriter - Nov 26, 2017 Never knew that was even a thing, but I have seen a few accounts with all their posts to a certain member's thread. RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - Mαxim - Nov 26, 2017 Smart move. "Rules for Marketplace (please read)" might be a good idea to add it under there. If I made a policy of taking action against members who threads are bumped by new members who are possible proxies then I assume members would fake accounts to get sanctions against other members and that would be a huge issue. When creating policies it's not enough that they make sense. They have to be automated and as abuse free as possible. RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - Cameron - Nov 26, 2017 Thanks for the update. First you had to introduce the Multi Vouching rule, now this. I wonder what they'll come up with next to try and get around site rules. RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - Meow - Nov 26, 2017 I think this rule should be in both PSS and Ebook bazzar, maybe even in MT. Great work anyway RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - reBELLYus - Nov 26, 2017 (Nov 26, 2017 07:12 PM)Omniscient Wrote: If I made a policy of taking action against members who threads are bumped by new members who are possible proxies then I assume members would fake accounts to get sanctions against other members and that would be a huge issue. You are right about that - it is a constant war out there and the competitive edge is peaking. In such a scenario, you could shoot yourself in the foot which is a no-go. Too bad that members abuse anything and everything that they can. You plan on making more accounts to have your MT and Ebook threads bumped too? RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - SIM-2501407 - Nov 26, 2017 Good update. Thanks Omni. RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - J. McCarthy - Nov 26, 2017 Definitely unfortunate. Kinda sucks that I use people posting to hide their post ID/user in the product for leaks but oh well. Oh well will make those people PM or email I spose RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - Riyu - Nov 26, 2017 Thank god. Great update Omni. RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - SIM-2875347 - Nov 26, 2017 This was definitely needed. I’ve heard of sellers abusing new accounts for a while now. RE: PSS Prestige Requirement - Saltpeter - Nov 26, 2017 Certainly a good change, can't really see any negatives with this one. |
