Alternatives to Coinbase - Hexxus - Dec 21, 2017 I have been using Coinbase for a long time without any issues, and I have fully verified my account. I have uploaded my ID, taken a real-time snapshot of my face and linked Coinbase to both my Paypal and bank account. When you combine all of this plus two-factor authentication for each transaction, it's safe to say that my account is fairly secure. But when I tried to send Bitcoin form my Coinbase account to a wallet, I get an alert saying that the transaction will be placed on hold pending a review. This makes zero sense to me, so I tried to contact support. Well, from what I hear, the 72-hour hold will likely clear before I ever hear back from Coinbase. They have no need to lock my account but did so anyway. It's almost like they are trying to piss their customers off. I would understand if this hold was for a large amount of money, but it's less than $500. Are there any alternatives to Coinbase that accept PayPal and don't make users jump through a million hoops for small transfers? RE: Alternatives to Coinbase - Bluffer - Dec 21, 2017 I swear Coinbase is trying to become the Paypal of Crypto. And they are going to fail and fall in a damn hole. RE: Alternatives to Coinbase - webdev77 - Dec 21, 2017 There aren't any real alternatives for people who want to use any kind of reversible payment method. If Wire Transfers are fine, BitFlyer is a pretty decent site. RE: Alternatives to Coinbase - Scalia - Dec 21, 2017 You could use gemini. Takes 1 day for wire and around 1-3 days for regular bank transfer. They also have a 30 transaction for free each month but the minimal to withdraw is $88. |
