Want to invest 20,000 Euro in ETH mining ? - CyberAlien - Dec 21, 2017

To keep this short and simple, I want some ideas/opinions on me investing 20,000 Euro into Ethereum mining rigs.

Yes, I have calculated some averages and stuff, it will take at least 10-/+ month for ROI.

But what do you think, will it be profitable in long-term, for like 3-5 years?

-----------------------

Thanks for all the replies, with 20,000 EURO the plan is to get around 1250mh/s power. Also about the electricity, here is cheap 0.08$kw/h so it's not that's much of a spending (but you never know, for 200$ I can get someone to connect it illegally xd).

To the guy who said buy 20,000 EURO ETH now, sounds good and it's safer but I'm planning in long-term. But let's make a simple calculation, at least in my point of view (please someone correct me if I'm wrong or anything, I want to learn)

With that mining power (1250mh/s), I'm looking at around 60 ETH a year. Let's say in 5 years, I'll have 250 ETH (I'm taking worst scenario, because of difficulty, luck, technical stuff etc). And in 5 years 1 ETH = 2500  euro, I'll be sitting on top of 625,000 euro.

Now let's calculate buying 20,000 Euro of ETH now, which is 30 ETH. In 5 years 1 ETH = 2500 euro, I'll be sitting on top of 75,000 euro.

This is my point of view, please anyone give me a detailed theory or proven answer that I'm wrong, as I said I want to research and take opinions by as many as I can so get a conclusion.

NOTE: I'm not putting my life savings on this so even if it fails, I can sell the rigs and get burned maybe 10,000 euro or less.

Yeah, I think so depending the fluctuation. A friend of mine got a 10k rig and he made around $1000 USD per month at this moment..

Depends of the price of electricity... Guess it's kinda worth it even if you pay for it. Want to get a rig myself.

i think would be better if you invest 20K into coin it self and get more profit after 10 month rather than mining it and buy a expensive rig

I'm also wanting to get a rig, but to mine new coins instead. OP, a $20,000 investment now is pretty smart, look into making a deal with an electricity broker (locking in contracts for your electricity price), they can get you better overall rates.

I'd be happy to hear more opinions related?

eth was lower than 550 today, if you would have put 20k in it today in max 6 months you would have doubled your money

If you want to work together, I am in the process of building a facility and won't have any electricity costs and have someone who is personally building the rigs for me.

Did you take a look at LTC mining?

Scrypt asics are affordable right now, and the profitability jumped by ALOT, you should take a look at other options, not saying ETH is not worth it, but don't focus only on this one :)

PS : check those reviews about asic scrypt miners :

I'd gladly hear more about this ?

Just read about this :

So this means that's I won't even ROI and my mining rigs will be useless ?
