Experienced Mining Help Desk - The Illusionist - Jan 16, 2018

No fancy thread design, just pure helpdesk & knowledge.

Either Private Message or post below any mining-related questions and I will answer them.

My Experience:
-Started mining 6 Months ago
-Own over 35 rigs
-Renovated a regular building into 35 mining rig proof (power, cooling & security)
-Build/Helped build (support) over 100 rigs

FAQ:

What rig set-up do you use/recommend?
Spoiler (Click to View)

Why do you prefer NVIDIA over AMD?

It's true the AMD has more hashrate (depending on the card roughly 7-9% more) but....
AMD's literally use twice as much power. 6x 1060 can run on 510W, 6x AMD's run 1000W+
This means you can buy a cheaper power supply when making an NVIDIA rig and you save yourself tons of money in the long run with power.
Oh and, NVIDIAs are more often in stock then AMDs.

Can you help me build a rig?

Yes but not for free, I answer any mining related questions for free but actual 1 on 1 support for a full rig building I have a service for check out;

What currency do you mine?

I currently mine MNX trough the Optiminer software, for more info check out;

Per Graphic card? That would be roughly $4

So with 1060 6gb cards I can get close to 4$ per card mining mnx?

RE: Experienced Mining Help Desk - westwol - Jan 17, 2018

Is there any BIOS configuration for this MOBO? Currently having issues setting up a 6x GPU RIG with the same specifications.

4 usd a day has to be fake. A 1060 gets at max 23 mhs ETH which equates to about 64 dollars with aprox energy cost. Mining zcash it is 280 sols aprox which is less than that.

not fake mate, actually very easy to see 4$+ on a 1060.
on nicehash I have seen payouts of a 1060 go upto $5.20
right now with everything in a shit storm nicehash is paying 3$ per card.

Why would it be? It's not that hard to achieve $4 a day if you look past the main mining coins.

What OS are you on?

i know linux has better performance but still the issue with getting the cards to stay undervolted without custom modding the straps is a pain in the ass when you're dealing with setting up 10k cards.

i found linux a bitch too. i moved over to windows (kind of tricky to get 17 rigs over) but its def  worth it in my opinion. way more options.

for a more easier option you can also try the illusionist's software optiminer, ethos based. pretty good profits on there too for 1060s.

Well not really much undervolting needed with the 1060s.

Now think the majority of our cards are 580s and 1070 Tis these things like to eat kwh unless undervolted.
