Making an example site within a wordpress site - Ajs Nigrutin - Feb 4, 2018 Hi guys i have a problem and im not sure how to do this. Well this is what i need. So i have a home page(Lets say its like a company home page) that is describing my business now since is all about making wordpress sites i want to make a example page for restaurants, business, tourism(like a external link to the page but under the same domain/examplerestaurants) and others and there my problem begins. Well i want to make a page that doesnt have any configuration of the main page and i dont know how to do it. I want the posibilty to work from the begining like on the home page. Problem is even when i make the page the header stays footer stays and the page layout is taking the "second page style" from the theme. How to make a page and use it like you are setting up a new project that doesnt have any connection to the company home page. I think i wrote this bad i hope you understand, Thanks guys! RE: Making an example site within a wordpress site - Rushax - Feb 4, 2018 This is pretty much the exact reason of why sub-domains were created. Instead of the domain/examplerestaurants.com page you would have examplerestaurants.example.com Maybe a shorter name than that though :) This would mean its a completely separate entity than your main site and allows you to re-install a new WordPress/CMS or just use plain HTML/CSS etc. I do it all the time for clients before I officially move the site to their own domain and having received payment. E.G: https://rushax.com http://universal.rushax.com This method saves you from buying another domain and hosting and allows you to keep it all under the same domain. |
