Additional feature for certain sections: Hide Tags - Mαxim - Feb 10, 2018
People who do contribute in the form of a free ebook or another sort of giveaway, USUALLY says something like "post and I will PM you the eBook".
And sure, they do, for the first day or two. But then people start posting and not getting anything (the OP might be closed, banned, inactive, etc.)
Why not just make it so that in those PARTICULAR sections they have a feature to hide content, which will be unlocked when you post once.
Suggested sections: Free Services and Giveaways, Free Money Making Ebooks, Referrals, Shopping Deals, Monetizing Techniques
*Suggest more sections and I will add it to this list.

I like the suggestion, hide tags have been denied by Omni in the past though. But haven't seen a suggestion just for those sections.

Yeah, might just be for some sections then.
Got any other sections in mind other than the two mentioned?

A lot of people in Shopping Deals, Referrals and other Monetizing sections do a 'Post to PM' in their threads.
Just realized this wouldn't work for UB3R/L33T/Specific requirement giveaways, some people even do positive rep/no open scam reports.... Could be used by people if they have no requirements, but wouldn't clean up the sections as much.

True. But it's an option, not a requirement to use that feature.

Yes, it would be very useful! There wouldn't be any hassle of posting and then PMing like we always have to do.

Ehh yeah, but it does render it that bit more useless as the majority (form what I've seen) would be UB3R/L33T specific.

Omni said he was working on it but then gave up. Probably to be declined once again.

Didn't Omni say before he doesn't like using other people's plugins?
Besides, those plugins are far from perfect.
The plugin you are referring to in particular, had a bug, allowing the exposure of the information within the hide tags. Not sure if that was even ever patched.

I don't think a post requirement on a thread should warrant your ability to view a thread, but instead should be something along the lines of prestige or post count.
Using your logic one could, in theory, just make a shitpost and bypass that requirement.

I couldn't get it working without core edits which I try very hard to avoid.
Ultimately not worth it and I'm not a fan of this type of feature.
