Account Recovery Changes - Omniscient - Feb 12, 2018

One of the plans I have with adding Factor8 back as admin is account recovery changes.

I plan to implement a $10 fee instead of the current $20 fee. I also plan to allow recovery of closed accounts for $20. F8 is going to be in charge of the process. It shouldn't be long before this is implemented but I wanted to alert members.

I will most likely send out an email blast to members with closed accounts so they can consider the recovery fee option. If you already opened a new account you will have to decide if you want the old one or the new one. We won't allow the multiple accounts open. We also won't merge accounts.

Thank you.

Does this mean we could have the likes of BS coming back?

Well, that would surely get some oldies back. Welcome back F8!

Damn that's interesting.
Looking forward to see how many old users will comeback now.

That means some big time scammers have the option to comeback, or there is a criteria to be eligible ?

I believe this is only for accounts that were lost, stolen, or closed due to inactivity.

i'm think when a user request an account recovery, they get reviewed before getting the request accepted right?

Would there be a limit on how many times you can pay for your account to be reopened? And is this feature only eligible for inactive/stolen account closures, or just in general?

We'll have to trust F8 not to let any of the bad eggs back in the basket.

A few closed for inactivity will be glad to hear about this.

What kind of closed accounts can come back?

Presumably accounts that were closed for inactivity or that requested closure. Users the were closed for other reasons will probably have to be deemed worthy by F8.

This is just my guess.

I like it. Some people deserve a second chance.

'Some'.

I didn't say that scammers do.

I believe that people such as yourself deserve a second chance. Everybody goofs up sometimes.

No. Omni literally banished him in a thread.
