anyone here own a metal detector? - mrhack - Feb 18, 2018 any suggested specs I should look for? Are anything under $100 good to start with? RE: anyone here own a metal detector? - x222 - Feb 21, 2018 for under 100$ i dont think u will get anything better than the apps for phones or the ones they use to search u (the small ones) RE: anyone here own a metal detector? - webdev77 - Feb 21, 2018 (Feb 21, 2018 09:02 AM)x222 Wrote: for under 100$ i dont think u will get anything better than the apps for phones or the ones they use to search u (the small ones) That's quite vague. Metal detectors used for security screenings can be thousands of dollars and are generally of very high quality and accuracy. RE: anyone here own a metal detector? - Crypt - Feb 21, 2018 When I think of metal detector I think of the ones you walk through, which are a lot more than 100$. You'd want a wand, like this one here: http://amzn.to/2ETTzv4 RE: anyone here own a metal detector? - Elitas - Feb 22, 2018 You can get a handheld one for around the guts of $25. It'll be useful accompanied with a big one. You find it with the big one, and then use the smaller handheld one to dig around the item and get a more precise location. RE: anyone here own a metal detector? - wwwroot - Mar 3, 2018 For sure if you wish to have good results, you need to invest more than 100$$ RE: anyone here own a metal detector? - Punisher - Mar 18, 2018 I think one of the most affordable / powerful balanced detector is the Garrett Ace 250 Pro I also use a Garret ProPointer, it's a handheld pinpoint metal detector to find items in a hole. I can find a coin 4 inches down and get it out with a screwdriver without even digging a hole. RE: anyone here own a metal detector? - deusexmachina519 - Mar 19, 2018 I second the Garrett Ace 250. Great detector. |
