protecting hard disk from access - Geass - Feb 20, 2018 I was wondering how do you secure your hard drive from access? Is there something reliable and safe to use in order to make sure my files will not be visible? I didn't knew where to post it and since it kinda seem like white hat for security part so I post it here. Thanks in advance!! 🤝 Edit: I am talking for outside hard drive, not the one with the windows, I dont care for this one :D I have found about StorageCrypt but I don't want to do anything without getting advise from people who actually know stuff :) RE: protecting hard disk from access - Sigma - Feb 20, 2018 So you are looking for something that will keep the files more protected? I am not really understanding the question. RE: protecting hard disk from access - DFENS - Feb 20, 2018 Nato approved #Becrypt CPA Disk Protect is what I use at work, not seen anything break the latest iteration. RE: protecting hard disk from access - Satoshi Yamaguchi - Feb 26, 2018 Encrypt with TrueCrypt, create virtual or protected file system, password protect HDD in UEFI settings RE: protecting hard disk from access - Geass - Feb 26, 2018 (Feb 20, 2018 04:12 PM)Sigma Wrote: So you are looking for something that will keep the files more protected? I am not really understanding the question. Something that the people from my house can't see the files. To be protected by password or something, it doesn't need to be something non-hackable since I am the only one who knows how to use a computer properly. RE: protecting hard disk from access - Brainsdotco - May 8, 2018 Just use a portable hard drive to store your files. A big one at that |
