Error when viewing threads? - Enzio - Mar 13, 2018

Basically, when I go on "View your posts", I can see that there are new posts on certain threads but when I click the thread, I can't see anything that follows my post. Is this happening to anyone else?

Update 9/5: it's still happening. I can't see any posts that follow mine whether I'm being quoted or not.

Is this happening to anyone else?

The thread might have moved to somewhere you don't have access to.

What's the thread/post?

It says that the most recent post on this thread was 11 minutes ago by the user "Xeriant" but I can't see it. It's been happening since yesterday.

This is a common bug which occurs with particularly large threads. Not sure if this is what's happening in your case, will need more information. I do see you have a thread with 1,000+ replies though.

I see it just fine.

It's an image with some Shopify statistics. Maybe you have extensions/user scripts that are glitched out or something?

Strange.

See, now that you just linked his post I can see it but if I click on the thread by myself, his post isn't there 🤣

Have you tried checking page 5? https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5806863&page=5

Yeah like I said, if I click on my post, there's no page 5 nor is there any posts following mine.

However, you can see it and just linked his post so now by clicking the link I can see it but if I go on my "view your post" and visit the thread, the post or the 5th page aren't there.

When searching your threads, I don't see that thread listed AT ALL.

Very weird, maybe the glitch has something to do with the way that new pages are created on threads.
EDIT: I noticed this actually isn't your thread. Where are you searching for it?

Update.... After clicking your link that directs to the 5th page of the thread, I am now able to see the page and the user's post.

I don't know what kind of bug this is but you might the child of the prophecy.

I'm almost certain now that it's a MyBB cache issue. I could be wrong (likely am), but that's the only thing which makes sense to me. Hopefully Omni will see this. Time to fire up my own MyBB copy, run a plugin to generate random posts and start testing. 😏

Hopefully he does yeah :)

It's a cache issue but almost certainly with MySQL and the query cache. Sometimes it happens and you just have to deal with it.

But him making a simple GET request to the post in question, has made the 5th page link now show.
I assume that since it was showing just fine for everyone else - That it could be an issue with the browser too. What makes you so sure it's a MySQL issue?
