Hi, I am using quasar
Do I need a service similar to duckdns to make sure I don't lose clients? Or is the crypticvpn ip ok? Or will running any type of script or shell help this?
Also if the default password recovery doesn't work, is there a script or anything available to do that?

To make sure you don't lose any clients you should use a dns, but remember that DuckDNS, no-ip and so on logs your traffic so i'd recommend you use something like Armada's DNS service: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4995393
