reLife [Discussion Thread] - Cody - Mar 21, 2018

Just binged watched this series and honestly it's in my top 5's. 👍

I've listed a small description below and linked the series as well, thankfully an OVA came out today which pretty much made the series that much better!

Dismissed as a hopeless loser by those around him, 27-year-old Arata Kaizaki bounces around from one job to another after quitting his first company. His unremarkable existence takes a sharp turn when he meets Ryou Yoake, a member of the ReLife Research Institute, who offers Arata the opportunity to change his life for the better with the help of a mysterious pill. Taking it without a second thought, Arata awakens the next day to find that his appearance has reverted to that of a 17-year-old. Arata soon learns that he is now the subject of a unique experiment and must attend high school as a transfer student for one year. Though he initially believes it will be a cinch due to his superior life experience, Arata is proven horribly wrong on his first day: he flunks all his tests, is completely out of shape, and can't keep up with the new school policies that have cropped up in the last 10 years. Furthermore, Ryou has been assigned to observe him, bringing Arata endless annoyance. ReLIFE follows Arata's struggle to adjust to his hectic new lifestyle and avoid repeating his past mistakes, all while slowly discovering more about his fellow classmates. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I didn't know they released a second season of reLife! I see 3-4episodes released today. I read the manga after I finished watching 13episodes. It's probably the best non-action anime imo. If anyone knows a very good anime relating to this genre. Post it up!

Would highly recommend Golden Time, it's around the same feel.

Toradora, would be another - I have a lot of recommendations but my minds blank right now.

Been reading the manga every week for a year when the English translation comes out and got really depressed last week when I realized it was the last chapter. Anime is okay too, but manga was great.

Old thread but just finished the manga. Remember watching this when it came out a couple of years ago, thought about it again and picked up the manga. For the past two days I probably put in like 6+ hours into just binging the manga. It's perf.

Perfect pacing, perfect character development (for all of them), close to perfect ending, wasn't too childish, wasn't too high end drama.
