I'm sorry for your loss. At least, it's a lesson learned. When you gamble, you should expect to lose everything and just do it for fun. Making money is a bonus.

That's what I do. I don't do it to try and make money, I do it for the thrill. I only put like $20 into a pokie machine and once I've lost it all, I wont put any more into it. I usually win though which is surprising. You have to know your limit otherwise you'll fuck yourself over.

When gambling, I fully accept the responsibility of fucking myself over. I don't expect to win, even though I want to win. I usually lose, but I feel good about it, because I do it for the thrill, as you've said, instead of making profit. Quite a bit of bitcoins went down the drain that way and they were $1k each when I gambled a lot.
To this day, no regrets.
