My $50 Windows 10 Laptop! + Tips to get Win 10 FREE ;) - Rsynced - Apr 15, 2018
Just wanted to share that I have just successfully preformed a digital licensed clean install of win10 onto a repaired dell studio 1458 laptop that I acquired from a past customer. The laptop had a cracked LCD, bad hard drive, and dead battery that would not charge. (it took a really hard fall powered on) Basically it was given to me to dispose of as electronic trash.
I spent $50> on parts and fixed it up. Since the laptop still had the windows 7 home serial key sticker attached, out of curiosity, I decided to install windows 10 and see if the windows 7 home key would activate windows 10 home, rather than reinstalling windows 7 home which would of obviously worked.
To my luck, IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM!
After my discovery, I did some research and found some other tips to get windows 10 free:

I've thought of selling it, but this is currently the best laptop in the house :)
