He sat alone below the stars
thoughts racing on all the scars
wishing he had love and life
as he beholds his final sight
his mind is fading into the night
The Reaper beckons him into the light
She sat alone under the night sky
wishing just once, she wouldn't cry
no longer full of fear and doubt
she has found her only way out
heart is broken, cold and empty
the Reaper whispers "come with me"
Two souls bound to death
as they take their final breath
frightened but strong, together, they walk along
onto the road of the rising dawn
