Scammed | How long should I wait before opening a dispute? - JoshAllen - Apr 25, 2018 So 3 days ago I bought something off a site similar to eBay. I bought something, the guy said he would ship next day, haven't heard from him since. Seemed like a reputable seller due to feedback, but after messaging him and not getting a response, how long should I wait until I open a dispute with PayPal. Haven't needed to make a PP dispute in at least a year, probably 2. Not sure if opening one only 3 days after would make me look bad on the PP case. Not sure if I should give the guy a better opportunity. Just want some opinions. RE: Scammed | How long should I wait before opening a dispute? - Stendoh - Apr 25, 2018 What site was this? OfferUp LetGo? Try texting him again and give him till Friday and say you will be filling a dispute via PayPal if he doesn’t send some sort of proof that your item has shipped RE: Scammed | How long should I wait before opening a dispute? - test - Apr 25, 2018 If they are an active seller and sell multiple items a day I would say 24 hours is long enough to hear a response. I would personally open a dispute after 3 days of no contact. RE: Scammed | How long should I wait before opening a dispute? - CYB3RM4N - Apr 25, 2018 Contact the seller once more and threaten to open a dispute if you don't get a shipping confirmation in the next 24 hours. If you laid out your case well, PayPal would side you anyway. You can always close the dispute if it resolves between you and the seller. |
