Completely fucked my PC. Have no idea what to do. - Scholarxd - Apr 29, 2018 I have recently performed many monumental fuck-ups and destroyed a PC to the absolute brink, I don't even know if it can be brought back. I've tried: Boot windows repair via USB fixes Installing windows 7 Installing windows 10 Nothing works. This is what I did: Installed windows 7 in the same particion as windows 10. It overwrote it but I had no drivers or USB support, thought I was clever by copying the windows.old/system32/drivers folder into the new windows 7 folder. This bricked my PC so that it wouldn't start. I then went into the start-up repair tool and formatted the C: wanting to do a fresh reinstall, this has absolutely fucked me. Now I can't do anything. Installed windows 7 gives a "critical file missing spaceport.sys" Installing windows 10 gives a "critical file missing fbwf.sys" Trying to use a boot repair disk gives the error "uncompression error -- System halted". I have no idea what to do. Will buying a new hard-drive and replacing the old one allow me to fresh install windows? That's my main question, or will I still get the same errors? Why is it looking for system32 files when I'm installing a new OS? Fuck my life. RE: Completely fucked my PC. Now I can't do anything. Did you only formatted the hard drive or did you also delete all partitions? If you didn't: Boot with a Windows 7 Installer and choose "Custom (Adavanced)" as type of installation. Delete all partitions ("Drive options (advanced)") an create a new one and then try installing Windows 7. RE: Completely fucked my PC.
