Kali Linux - Portable HDD ( Help ) - raresrap - May 8, 2018 Hey guys. I'd like to ask if you know any Tutorial about how to instal Kali Linux on a portable HDD ? I just bought one and I'd like to install Kali Linux on it so whenever I want to run linux I can, just conecting the hdd to the pc. Thanks ! RE: Kali Linux - Portable HDD ( Help ) - throhts - May 8, 2018 Download Kali ISO and burn it to a USB, then put the USB on a machine, then boot the machine, and enter BIOS. Choose to boot from the USB, and from then on it's pretty much self-explanatory. Installing language, date, time, etc etc. Keep in mind you'd have to have the HDD integrated before anything, because you're installing the distribution for the HDD. RE: Kali Linux - Portable HDD ( Help ) - Manhattans - May 8, 2018 I wouldn’t think it would be any different than installing on a USB RE: Kali Linux - Portable HDD ( Help ) - raresrap - May 8, 2018 So pretty much, I have to make a usb installer with linux and when I boot to choose the portable HDD as the one I want to install to. And ofc I have to have the external HDD connected to the pc. Or do you mean something else by " you'd have to have the HDD integrated before anything " ?
