How to add Python code to your own GUI? - Crypt - May 9, 2018 Say I have a program and want to create my own GUI for my code to run on, how would I go about doing that? RE: How to add Python code to your own GUI? - Woes - May 9, 2018 Use the tkinter module. If it's too complicated for you, pay me to do it. RE: How to add Python code to your own GUI? - 0xB9 - May 10, 2018 Checkout Kivy, Pyforms, PyQt or PyGUI. They are great python frameworks for creating a GUI. RE: How to add Python code to your own GUI? - TheWarOwl - May 11, 2018 Tkinter, Kivy and PyQt. Just look up the documentation and some examples, if you want it to be really easy use "Page" for Tkinter. It works like visual studio in the sense that it has a gui editor and codes everything for you. If you're looking for courses I'm not aware of any, personally I've gotten it all figured out with just documentation and examples. There's more advanced stuff like using canvases nesting in scrollable frames... etc... but from experience I know there's everything you need through Google if you go down that path. If you have any questions or get stuck feel free to let any of us know! I personally won't mind helping for free. RE: How to add Python code to your own GUI? - .kr. - May 11, 2018 If i wanna make a gui for my application, i switch over to C# with wpf or Kotlin with JavaFX/TornadoFx. Sometimes i make a webpanel in python (tornado or flask). I never be fine with tkinter. RE: How to add Python code to your own GUI? - Nomad.Null - May 12, 2018 I find that GTK3 is the most well known gui development framework. It was build for C but thanks to the PyGTK it is possible to use to use it for python development. You might try tkinter or PyQT, but I don't prefer them because they aren't as well documented. If you set yourself up with Glade, you can build the GUI much more easily. I recommend building this in a Linux environment. RE: How to add Python code to your own GUI? - quarkE - May 28, 2018 I tried Kivy and PyQt, and found PyQt to be way easier to use on the fly. The documentation is shit, but you can get all the info you need by looking up a couple examples. |
