Preface
If you're not willing to work, then close this guide now, this method will take time. These methods and tips are from personal experience and have more than likely been said before, I was searching around and couldn't find a definitive guide that encompassed most methods. So, I decided to make one myself, enjoy!

Introduction
Hey guys! I wanted to share with you guys the strategies I used to grow brand new instagram accounts from 0 to 50,000+ followers in less 2 months. So why use Instagram? Instagram is an absolutely incredible way of making money, if you know what you're doing, it's engagement is leagues ahead of Facebook and Twitter. Instagram is definitely not for every niche, some will have a very difficult time just getting off the ground, but through hard work and patience, you can make it.

Basic Tips
  • If you're selling shoutouts or products on your account make sure to follow the 80/20 rule, 80% normal content for your niche and 20% of the content about shoutouts or products.

  • Make a regular posting schedule, post consistency is very important on Instagram. You have to post a lot at the beginning, but not so much that you begin to look spammy, around 3-5 posts spread throughout 24 hours.

  • Along with the tip above, make a posting schedule. Base it off when your followers are most engaged.

  • Hashtags are vital to your success, it is one of the most important things on Instagram. It is one of the main reasons I was able to gain so many followers in such a short time. A simple trick to follow is to find as popular accounts in your niche and copy their hashtags or head over https://websta.me/hot. Extra tip, put the hashtags in the comments, it works the same and looks better.



Methods

Method 1: Follow High Engagers
This method is used as often as others, but it does work very well.

Find 10-20 popular accounts in your niche and go to their recent photos, follow people who have engaged the most on those pages. Be sure to only follow the people who like or comment on their posts.

Additionally, you may go to recent posts on popular hashtags in your niche and follow people who have liked and/or commented on those photos. This method relies on people still being on Instagram, so it's likely they will follow you back quickly.

This method relies on high engaging followers, after 48-72 hours you may use apps or manually unfollow anyone who hasn't following you back. Repeat this process multiple times. This strategy takes some time in the beginning, but it works very well, once you hit critical mass, this method won't be needed and people will just start following based off your hashtags.

Method 2: Follow and Like
You can either automate this process or do it yourself, either way it's a pretty easy way to get followers. Basically, you choose any hashtag in your niche and follow an account that has posted recently in that hashtag. Once followed, like their first 3-5 images, this occasionally results in a follow back.

Method 3: Mass Follow
This method is similar to method 1.

Make a list of several huge accounts in your niche, higher follower accounts ideally, like 100k+. Follow them and turn on your post notifications, this is so you get notified when they make a post. Wait for a post, when one is posted, go to the people who have liked it and just start mass following them, these people get a notification quickly as they are more than likely still on their phones. This method is very efficient in getting follow backs, after 48 hours, unfollow people who haven't followed back. Rinse and repeat.

Method 4: Basic Posting
This method simply relies on you using high engagement hashtags and posting regularly following your post schedule. This process can easily be automated but does not have a huge follow back rate unless you have amazing content, it mainly results in high like counts.

Method 5: Shoutout Time and Giveaways

Method 5a:
The strategic shout out method, or S4S, this strategy is where one account shouts out another account in return for a shout out. It promotes both accounts and their content while engaging followers in similar accounts, this can even be done two of your own accounts.

Find an account in your same niche or a similar niche, one with similar followers and ask if they would be interested in a shout out for shout out. If they agree, you will create a post with their image and post a caption or comment telling your followers to check out their page the other account does the same. You can contact other users through Instagram Direct (DM's), Snapchat, or emails if they provide them.

Method 5b:
Another way to use shoutouts is to pay for them. Paid Shout outs are one of the best way to leverage larger IG accounts. In this method, you will contact significantly bigger accounts for a shoutout in exchange for whatever currency they require. When searching for an IG account like this, check to make sure their engagement levels are good, additionally, anything above 2-5% likes per post per number of followers is considered moderately active. This is fine, but you should always search for better stats.

When doing these types of shout outs, make sure to include that you would like the shoutout info to include that you want others to follow the account being shouted out.

Method 5c:
Giveaways, just a small note, these giveaways don't necessarily have to be real. Buttttttt, it's important to note that I don't endorse that in anyway  🤝. The prizes don't have to be expensive, you can giveaway anything you want. When doing giveaways, ask people to follow your account, maybe even two accounts that you own, and to tag two friends in order to enter the giveaway. This strategy will expose completely new potential followers to your account.

Advertisement and Marketing
I don't have much to say in this section, ads are readily available all over instagram and similar websites. You can purchase ads to show in front of potential followers with similar niche interests to gain massive followings in a short amount of time. This strategy requires money, and sometimes, a lot of it. If you want to grow your account quickly, this is the way to do it. Instagram ads have insane amounts of engagement if you've chosen your niche correctly, just be sure to do your research before purchasing IG ads.

Content
Content! Content! Content! This is literally what your account will live or die on, your content needs to be consistent and high quality. You can use sites like Pinterest or Buzzsumo to get ideas about your specific niche. Using programs like Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve will assist you in making your content HQ (High Quality). Your brand is key on Instagram, so nurture it. You don't want to be perceived as crappy or spammy with LQ (Low Quality) posts.

Remember the tips posted above, post HQ and post regularly. If your account is mainly based around pics, think about throwing a video in there once in a while to hit the Explore page videos.

With practice and statistics, you will understand which posts have higher engagement and which don't, armed with this information, you will be able to grow your brand to new heights.

Bots and Likes/Followers
Bots, Likes, Followers blah blah blah. Botting methods and purchasing likes are NOT GOING TO HELP YOU. Unless, you can obtain organic traffic using these services, they won't help you in achieving your follower goal. More than likely, they will get your account banned. Services like these are basically only useful to prank your friends, unless you're willing to dole out some serious cash. But if you do want some open source bots and such, check em out!


Third Party Apps/Programs
Here

Starting up your own Account
  1. Pick yourself a niche (For the purposes of this tutorial, I will choose fitness model)

  2. Head over to https://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ and make yourself a girl between 18-25. Preferably European.

  3. Create a Facebook, Instagram, and Email under this name. (Optional: Snapchat)

  4. Go ahead and pick a model that you will be starting out with, I usually go to https://www.modelmayhem.com/

  5. Signup to Instagram and convert your account to a business account

  6. Post around 9 pictures with good hashtags.

  7. Done! You've officially created a fitness model!
