Hello Hackforums users,

I'm here searching for someone to help me out with the project.

It's personal and not for any future marketing or something else, The project i'm working on is for instagram, for now i need a VB.net project that works by Http Requests to grab all the users Id, username.

any help?

Hi man,

If you have a list you can iterate and get the information by iterating through that list using

Code 
https://www.instagram.com/{username}/?__a=1

as the request URL this will bring back all the information regarding that user

I've tested some codes and Api's with a mate from here, we ended with failure.

Instagram is blocking the api after sending / getting many requests from it's server.. Sadly ❓

Yes I was tinkering with it last night after i posted this and couldn't find a way around Instagram is pretty locked down.

Use proxies? Isn't that an obvious solution?

You would have to see what Instagram bases their rate-limiting on, such as a specific account or as you said; an IP address. I personally have no idea myself so perhaps someone else could shed some light on the matter.

We tried with proxies, what the API is linked to is a users account. So even if it were different APIs trying to connect, it was through one account and they would ban that API.

Purchase cracked accounts or generate them and proxies. Run each account through with your task at hand with a proxy and switch proxy when banned.

That's doing alot more work than one needs to do. You can fetch the list by using http Web request, without the official ig api. That's how majority of ig bots perform the task. OP, what is your overall goal for this project? What have you accomplished thus far? I've written a few programs for IG, if you still need assistance feel free to DM me.

The main problem you might face is the account location and proxy location.
Instagram now requires high quality proxies from the same location as the account.

I made an example project that can do part of this, it gets each page and from then on you can implement a username and id grabber
