Ficons are Sprites - Omniscient - Jun 10, 2018 https://hackforums.net/uploads/ficons/ficon_sprite.png That's the new ficon sprite which has replaced the hundreds of small images we had previously. Ficons are now controlled by this CSS page: https://hackforums.net/cache/themes/theme10/ficon.css These could be in cache so if you are not seeing the ficons properly please try to load each of those pages in your browser and F5 refresh them. I've also set our Browser Cache to 8 days which it was previously just 8 hours. Thanks to Xerotic for working on this. I hope to possibly also do the awards as a sprite but that's more complicated and we just may not bother. RE: Ficons are Sprites - Makaveli The Don - Jun 10, 2018 Nice update. Good work as usual! RE: Ficons are Sprites - meister - Jun 10, 2018 Thanks for the update Omni. RE: Ficons are Sprites - DOG - Jun 10, 2018 I quote iHydra "A sprite is a single image. Browsers used to download a file like an image one at a time. Not too long ago they began to download in parallel. But even then, it's numerous image files being downloaded instead of a single one. Sprite contains all ficons in 1 file and uses CSS to designate what X, Y, Height, Width each ficon is in that overall image. In return, it speeds up loading up any page that uses ficons. A page like index.php, it's significant and worth the feature." for people who dont get it RE: Ficons are Sprites - Kosmos - Jun 10, 2018 Looking good! Glad to see this. Good work both of you.
