$1000 Reputation Contest Partnership/Sponsorship (11 SPOTS LEFT) - SIM-1589588 - Jun 12, 2018
Rep Contest Partnership
Road to 1000+ Reps.
As reps can now be freely sold/given/asked, we've came up with the idea of hosting a mass contest, sponsored by a limited number of 25 sponsors.
Prize Pool:
The prize pool that has been decided so far, is $1000. That makes it approximately $40 per sponsor.
Odds:
To make the odds fair for every member participating, we've decided to split the prize pool by 10, making it $100 per winner.
Terms:
- Members belonging to the UB3R/R3KT/Mentor usergroup, will be able to use one day (25) of their reps to participate in the contest.
- L33Ts who wish to join would have to split the 25 +reps over 3 days.
- Once the contestant(s) have posted on the thread after completing their share of +reps, they will be assigned their respective post IDs as their raffle #.
- Once we've hit a target of rep (to be decided) or a specified period of time, we will use Random.org to draw out the winners.
- Multiple posts by members will not be allowed and this will be mentioned in the first post
- Every winner's +reps will be individually checked whether they've actually repped the sponsors, if not, they will be disqualified before the prizes are distributed. Their prize will be redistributed to another winner.
- Deletion of reps is also grounds for disqualification.
Projections:
Assuming the members who are active and wouldn't mind using a day of their reps, we could see approximately anywhere over 500+ rep to be gained by the sponsors taking part in the contest.

Had 1600+ before and we can ask Minimalist to hold funds. Contest will run for a week so you can just imagine how many reps you'll get. I can do it alone but why waste the opportunity when members can rep 25 times daily.
oh and yeah sure with 300k in my address i'll run away with few hundreds. lol

Yeah that's why I gave Middleman's option. We can use Minimalist if everyone's ready.

This does sound like a good idea, are you thinking to split the prizes or keep it as a grand prize for the winner? (edit: just read OP, its split so a better chance to all participants, nice)
I assume you can have members participate by limiting the sponsors to a number of 25? (number of reps allowed to UB3Rs). R3KTs and Mentors could also join in, maybe with a higher probability? (Although PIDs would be a better identifier)
How long do you intend to keep the contest until? Till the sponsors reach an amount of rep? (say 1-2k?)

I think 100$ x10 would be better as members will have a better chance of being a winner.
There's a limit of 25 reps for uber users and 10 reps limit for l33ts, so we can either make it available for everyone or just for ub3rs and rekt users but it depends on how many sponsors we have.
We can post rep goals, we can run it for a week or two and any member who removes his rep will be disqualified. However I assume 200-300 member or more are going to participate in this contest.
So you can expect 500+ reps per sponsor.

The funds can be held by a MM to make it more safe, like Minimalist.

I think it would be justifiable for 25~ sponsors, that way UB3R/R3KT members will have to dedicate one day's worth of their reputations for the contest, and maybe a lot of members who do R4R would also consider going for it.
Hell, the both of us could organize this if multiple reputations on a single user were allowed 😈 🎉
Although the chances are less for L33Ts.
Maybe L33Ts can apply but they'll have to dedicate 2.5 day of their reps for it? How does that sound?

To be honest, I think a day for UB3Rs and 2.5 days for L33Ts should be fine. The delimiter being that the contest ends when the sponsors have gained a certain amount of rep (as discussed amongst them?) I feel like this isn't allowed but right now, its actually allowed as per the rules, afaik.
I'm sure a lot of members would be willing to go in as sponsors if it somehow assures them they'll be back to 1k+ rep in no time.
