NETSeal - Security Licensing system for .NET files - Aristocles - Jun 15, 2018 ![]() Welcome to NetSeal ! Hi! This project is a revamp of NetSeal, a well-known licensing system developped by Aeonhack, a former HF member. It is made to cover license-management on your software, providing extra security features. If you want to learn about NetSeal, you can read the thread. If you want to play with NetSeal, you need to wait for Beta release (very soon), and you can look at the public exemples on github. If you want to contact us, please do at support [at] netseal [dot] xyz. Why ?! Where ?! When ?! This project started because I did not found what I think is a decent security licensing solution system for little devs like us. This project started in June 2018 and will be released in June 2018. Keep an eye on our up-to-date project page ! Features Our features are meant to be as simple as possible to use and as safe as possible for your application. We implemented some Native Protection on the new NetSeal native Core, Anti debugging techniques, Remote Code Execution on specific method of your assembly, Unlimited Server Variables for you to be able to maximize application dependency over the server, and so much more ... With NetSeal, you have full control over your program.
As of today, current features are :
Much more to come... Code Implementation Even if the new NetSeal includes an Automatic Installer you are free to hard-code the implementation. It is as simple as possible, really : we kept the same class-only structure the old netseal had. Note that if you use a VB.NET Project you will need to add a reference to System.Management and System.Security. If you don't know how to do that, head over our Wiki page to read tutorials !

Nothing wrong with OP wanting to revamp it, It isn't like he can call/message Aeonhack and ask for permission. Besides that nothing illegal about a licensing program. I think using his product name because of the popularity is a dick move, pretty sure most devs would agree. Whether the project is in development or not, he has legal ownership to the intellectual name. He could easily sue you and win. I'm sure the developer has bigger fish to fry than to sue over an HF product. I own an extremely large site, bigger than hf and my competitors do what op did, they aren't even close. build your own name, don't leach off someone else's. RE: NETSeal - Security Licensing system for .NET files - Washi - Jun 15, 2018 Have to agree with Tweety and Armada here. Can't say I am happy about the capitalisation of other people's success, if you want to call it that. Seems like a very risky move to make, let alone the fact that it might still be the intelectual property of Aeonhack, regardless of the fact that he is not around anymore. Also, can you elaborate a little more about the following features?
Also, why does the VB.NET project version also require System.Management and System.Security? Your example code for C# looks quite different in behaviour from the VB one. Assuming that VB.NET coders use common practices, why provide sample code that initializes it in Form1? Not every application is a WinForms app, especially with the rise of WPF, let alone the fact that the program might not start with a form in the first place... I am a little confused here 😧 . RE: NETSeal - Security Licensing system for .NET files - Fafaffy - Jun 15, 2018 Yeah I'm 100% against using NetSEAL's name when you have no affiliation to the original's product. I ran my own security software back in the day (albeit not nearly as good as net seal's) but I did so under my own name, not stealing someone else's. It's just such a disservice and disgrace to Aeonhack. VB.NET Project needs System.Management because the HWID class is using ManagementObject. I removed the need of System.Security. I provided code that is both tiny and simple to understand. You are free to initialize the auth wherever you want, or you can use the automatic installer to install it to entry point. We do support WPF app, it was only biased exemples, I can provide F# and raw MSIL implementation for fun too. Aren't we all confused ? 🤝 (Jun 15, 2018 09:45 AM)Fafaffy Wrote: Yeah I'm 100% against using NetSEAL's name when you have no affiliation to the original's product. I'm not stealing, the name has been thought to be used for years now (literally, since 2014) to follow my projects name scheme : NETGuard, NETSeal, etc. Have a nice day 🤝 RE: NETSeal - Security Licensing system for .NET files - tweety - Jun 15, 2018 you seem pretty delusional. you named it netseal for the popularity and don't need to build it yourself, just hanging someone else's products popularity. you can say what you want but itd clear what your intentions are and nobody likes a leach. I said before the name is a marketing move, if you can't read I'm sorry sir 🤝 also, this is my code, so this is my product, my registered domain, my github repo, I don't see where I stole someone else's product. I'm sorry if you can't read that. anywho, once the malware starts seeping in (yes, it will regardless of what you say, aeon tried his hardest to make sure netseal wasn't being used for malicious stuff, I'm pretty sure you won't be as sincere, even if you are, look where he ended up), you'll end up in jail too. I'm sorry if you can't read that. - As far as former netseal and malware are concerned, if Aeonhack really wanted to prevent them he could have done it. My deal is to ask developpers to scan their file on VT, and provide the scan link, then I compare file's SHA-256. |
