Free Visual Studio Enterprise - Aspie96 - Jun 16, 2018 Hi. Yesterday, I opened Visual Studio and I saw a purple notification (they are usaully yellow) stating that I "owned" a license of Visual Studio Enterprise, which I never bought (it was VS Community). So, I installed Enterprise, I opened it and I clicked "? -> Register product". At first, it looked like a demo version, but then I clicked "Check for an updated license" and it does no longer show an expiration date, nor the fact that it's ment for evaluation: it looks like a proper registered version of Visual Studio Enterprise. Now, the license of Visual Studio Enterprise allows you to install it on multiple computers. I tried to install it on another computer but I only got the trial version. I perfectly do understand that I didn't pay and I have not much to complain about, but I would like to better understand this situation. Would the license be revoked if I install any updates? Would it be revoked if I ask Microsoft for information? And, why can't I install it on another computer (despite the license allowing me to), nor see it among my MSDN subscriptions? Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone else have an idea of what happened? Thank you so much in advance.
