[Idea] Deal Dispute/ Scam Report Mediator - Arkane21 - Jun 16, 2018
Often when I look at a deal dispute thread, only one side of the story is given. Then, even if the other side of the story is provided, sometimes gaps in the story remain and members do not know who to believe.
Therefore, I plan to launch a Skype Account where both parties, the claimant and the defendant, will be invited to give their side of the story in a civil discussion, mediated by me. My task as the mediator will be to allow both parties to give their side of the story, to clear up any discrepancies or missing details and to maintain the peace during the discussion.
Obviously, both parties must be willing to participate for this to work. If someone knowingly scams another user they would be unlikely to accept the invite to participate in a discussion. I am more than willing to respond to requests for discussion from either claimant or defendant. After I receive a request from either party, I will invite the other party to a conference call which will be recorded and posted to the deal dispute thread for other members to see.
This thread may get just get buried in the lounge and go unnoticed or it may be the start to something that will root out scammers/false accusers and keep the Marketplace buzzing.
I will contact HF News authors and see if they consider this as newsworthy to get the word out.

Yes, I understand that and I was actually a very strong supporter of the contract system when it was being implemented while other members were whining about losing their reputation.
The reason I want to do this is to start an actual discussion which allows both members to provide their side of the story.

If you got scammed and your scammer is claiming he isn't at fault, wouldn't you want to have a discussion with them? I know I would love to hear that conversation.

I mean the idea in theory was okay but it will never work.
