The slot on my phone where the charger plug goes into seem damaged or loose so I may need to either open up the phone to replace that part.

Get a plastic prying tool, ive damaged a lot of shit using a metal something on plastic

Something else you may want is a soldering iron I like that kit btw, I put one together a long time ago pretty much the same stuff btw an eyeglass repair kit .. they are small and have small screwdrivers all that but they come in handy when dealing with phones.

amazonbasics had an electronics repair kit for sale under 30$cad for prime lol, i ended up buying it.
also ended up getting a soldering iron and solder for 20$cad, very good deals everywhere there haha.

this is the specific kit i was talking about and bought. prime day had it for like 12$ off so i got it and it should be here on, like, wednesday probs at the latest.
and soldering irons are for, like, soldering. you know, lie melting metal onto more metal to make connections and stuff?
