HDD + SSD Dual Boot. Need an expert. - Λlex - Jun 25, 2018 Ok, I need someone who knows what they are talking about here. I have ordered an SSD caddy for my girlfriend's laptop so she can use the HDD and the SSD at the same time but Windows was unstable ever since. I've installed windows 10 both on the SSD and the HDD and the windows on either kept crashing, the boot would get corrupted and stuff. Does this have to do anything with the dual windows 10 boot or is it something else? Should I boot different windows version on the HDD and the SSD or? If anyone could help me out with this issue that would be awesome! RE: HDD + SSD Dual Boot. Need an expert. - Seany - Jun 25, 2018 Just boot from the SSD. I wouldn't mess around with any dual boot. That's ok, but I was just asking if anyone has any experience with it.. I really don't need the dual boot as I was gonna use the HDD as cold storage anyway. RE: HDD + SSD Dual Boot. I get your point, always cool to learn new things and play around but that seems almost pointless. I've got what you mentioned above. RE: HDD + SSD Dual Boot. Like Mac+Win Ubuntu/Linux+Win. Install the OS to SDD and keep alll installations and most files on the HDD. This I show my Asus laptop is set up now. (Anything you need fast seeking/retrieving install it on the SDD, like games to improve loading time) |
