Grub rescue after removing Ubuntu partition - lmfao3zWin - Jun 26, 2018 Hello. I removed the Ubuntu partition (Windows 10 dual-booting) and after restarting my computer, I have been stucked in grub rescue. I understood that my grub is installed in MBR and I should to recover the MBR with bootable Windows 10 media because the bootloader was removed but after I create the USB media, my laptop ports don't connect the USB (that happend 2-3 months ago). Soo what I should to do? I haven't installed any updates for 2-3 months ago, as implied. RE: Grub rescue after removing Ubuntu partition - webdev77 - Jun 26, 2018 Do your USB ports work at all? If they aren't working, your options are going to be slim unless you have a DVD drive you can use. RE: Grub rescue after removing Ubuntu partition - lmfao3zWin - Jun 26, 2018 They aren't working. Ffs I should to go to buy one then. Okay, thank you a lot. I will write after try with DVD. Yo, hey. I have the DVD but what tool should I use to make it Windows 10 bootable device? Because MediaCreation takes me to an error :/ RE: Grub rescue after removing Ubuntu partition - webdev77 - Jun 26, 2018 Use the media creation tool to download an ISO file to your hard drive. Then, just right click on the ISO file and select the Burn to Disc option. If you really can't get the media creation tool to download an ISO for you, you can always google search for direct links to the Windows 10 ISO files. They should be pretty easy to find direct from Microsoft. Do you have the correct type of DVD? Looks like you need to have DVD-R.
