gauging interest - Faith Connors - Jun 26, 2018

i made a thread a while ago (i think, might have been on another forum) but im relatively passionate about the world of hardware engineering, at the very least as a hobbyist. im also quite passionate about writing, and with my relative success with the rfid thread, i was wondering if there were any other kind of threads people would like to see?

since my budget is kind of limited and because im pretty short on parts, it'll be difficult for me to make specific projects (unless I had the materials on hand) like something that uses like 100 servos, can't handle that. but for anything kind of theoretical or technical, i could definitely throw something together if a topic has enough interest.

i only check into this sub every now and then since it's pretty inactive, but if anyone notices a question asked about a certain topic over and over, let me know, I'll put something together about it.
right now, I do have some ideas for stuff to throw together:
Code
stm32 (still learning every day, but i have a good understanding of the software at least)
asm and its more theoretical concepts like interrupts (rather introductory, not much experience with asm, but I can pick stuff up and write about it to learn about it better.)
digisparks (those 1$ badusbs)
(smaller) projects, read above
looking to get myself some TI boards like the MSP430, other AVR stuff, maybe a series on this?

so yeah, post your other ideas here, lets see what yall come up with lol

I know one kind of cool project for cheap is setting up motion activated devices. You can use an ultrasonic transceiver and also find the range of things. You could do this on pretty much any micro/dev board available.
