Say I see a flaw in a thread of an eBook and I point it out and criticize it by posting about it in its thread, will it be considered sales trashing?

Sales trashing is the unfounded (no good reason) bashing of a thread. Criticizing the product is good in moderation if you've received the product and have a complaint.

Some things are objective and it may depend on what you say, how you say it, who reports it, and then Staff has to review it.
No concrete answer because maybe it will be sales trashing, maybe it won't. Often though Staff will remove reported posts if reported by the OP of the sales threads even if the comments aren't severe. We don't feel that a Sales Thread is the appropriate place for you to criticize their product or service. In most cases it turns into an argument inside the thread will eventually ruins things and we have to remove many posts to fix the situation.
So yeah, if it's reported, you can probably expect it will get removed. Please note that if you discuss a product or service in Marketplace Discussions in most cases, as long as you don't harass the member, the thread won't get touched.

what omni means is be civil about it, take your concerns into the market discussion forum and post your review/concerns in a new thread
dont be a total douche bag and say the product is garbage and sucks ass even if it does, but give it an honest feed back and you can probably link your thread in the sales thread as well letting the seller know you reviewed the product
