If you're like me, you LOVE real horror and suspense in anime. Most series lately are absolutely garbage.
Today, friends, airs The Calamity of a Zombie Girl, and after watching it, and at some points cringing from the gore, I can guarantee you that you'll love this.
If shows like Higurashi no Nako Koro ni, Shiki, etc tickle your fancy, don't sleep on it.

Underrated af, would recommend this to everyone who enjoys horror anime. Also agree OP, horror series have been really trash as of recent and it's such a shame. Higurashi is actually the first series that got me into anime!
