Challenges for programming (Beginner) - Admirably - Jul 3, 2018 I'm starting on Mobile app development, I'd like to know if you guys have some site that gets you challenges to complete. I'm not sure what to do as a starter project, any suggestions? RE: Challenges for programming (Beginner) - V For Vendetta. - Jul 3, 2018 Something I read on reddit to start with app development is a simple weather app. Allow users to input a city and display the weather for today and whether there is a chance of snow/rain. Let me know how it goes! :) RE: Challenges for programming (Beginner) - Charger - Jul 4, 2018 Weather is a good app. Start with basic functionality and then expand to a better UI. Do not jump into games. RE: Challenges for programming (Beginner) - Willful - Jul 4, 2018 Here's a few ideas for you to think about: 1. Weather (already mentioned) - but you can always make it emoji based so it's more interested visually 2. Quiz app - ask a question and give several answers. Let them know if they got it right. If not, tell them the answer. 2.1 Guess the flag. To build on top of the quiz app, you can do something like use different country flags (3) and let uses guess which flag belongs to the country. 3. Build your own browser - doesn't need to be something complex. Just enough to at least load a website. Maybe an address bar to allow the user to navigate. 4. Anagram game. Scramble up a word and get the user to input what the word might be. 5. Quote app. Pull from some CSV stored somewhere and display a random quote when you open the app. Anyway, at least you have a few more ideas from here. |
