Is there a way to always have explorer.exe and browser process to highest priority? - Account of the Gods - Jul 4, 2018 My pc is so fast when i change explorer priority to super high LOL. like if I had an SSD! but i dont have it. I think of changing browser like that too. these are my main programs. But its annoying always doing it manually. How can I set it to always launch with super high priority? Maybe you can code a program that automatically makes's it the highest priority? That would probably be the best option RE: Is there a way to always have explorer.exe and browser process to highest priority? - CyberStrike - Jul 4, 2018 wmic process where name="explorer.exe" CALL setpriority 128 Priority: idle: 64 (or "idle") below normal: 16384 (or "below normal") normal: 32 (or "normal") above normal: 32768 (or "above normal") high priority: 128 (or "high priority") real time: 256 (or "realtime") RE: Is there a way to always have explorer.exe and browser process to highest priority? - Account of the Gods - Jul 4, 2018 (Jul 4, 2018 07:14 AM)sirru5h Wrote: wmic process where name="explorer.exe" CALL setpriority 128 what do you mean by "wmic process"? also is this permanent? oh i know what you mean, but that wont work for explorer.exe RE: Is there a way to always have explorer.exe and browser process to highest priority? - CyberStrike - Jul 4, 2018 Wouldn't explorer already be a high priority, it's a pretty integral part of Windows? Also using process hacker you can keep it permanent. https://www.raymond.cc/blog/permanently-set-process-priority-in-windows-task-manager-with-prio/ For something like a browser I'd think you can probably just use a powershell script which starts the process and sets the priority. RE: Is there a way to always have explorer.exe and browser process to highest priority? - Charger - Jul 4, 2018 Just don't set anything to real time unless you want a BSOD.
