A Smooth, Customizable and Cool looking custom GUI (Graphical User Interface) - Minto - Jul 4, 2018

Hello everyone!

I'd just like to show you all what I'm working on

Maybe get some positive feedback and opinions

This is a custom GUI (Graphical User Interface) I've been working on for a long time, first started developing it in VB.NET, then to C#, because ever since last year I've preferred C# over VB.NET.
I've stopped working on it a while back since motivation was little and interest in it was dying, but, recently that came back.

And I would like to show you all what I have done so far.

I will release this when it is done, perfect and not just in a C# class.
I want to rewrite it in a .NET DLL library, for those who want to use it not just in C#, but, in VB.NET and C++ as well.
I won't put a release date, since I don't want any pressure to be put on me, going slow and making sure everything works perfectly as how I like to do things.
I've made a video showcasing it, and here it is;

I do not trust somebody that uses multiple if statements when checking the same value. I'm sorry.

switch(velyseComboBox1.Text) {
case "Round":
// handle round
break;

case "Square":
// handle square
break;
}

lolwat?

I am telling you that if you are checking the same address for different values you should use a switch statement.

It's a good thing to get used to as when (if you ever) get into things like multi-thread programming, as an example, velyseComboBox1.Text value could change after the first if was checked, that way meaning that both would be activated.

Aaaaaaand your attitude is shit towards somebody trying to give you some advice on something like this.

Ya sure its pretty much nothing and isnt going to do much for you right now, but a switch statement was built for this.

Also there is only one switch statement please do not go retard

Well, thanks for the advice, but, "I do not trust somebody that uses multiple if statements when checking the same value. I'm sorry." doesn't sound like you're trying to lecture me.

Haha what, if another thread changes the value you better be locking it or wrapping it atomically, not hoping things just magically work right with a switch case. Furthermore, even though the switch statement would block multiple conditional bodies from being executed, in your hypothetical scenario where you can safely read variables being written to it still doesn't stop the case of none of them being executed

var=B
..
if(var==A) //not hit
var=A //in another thread
if(var==B) //not hit
default: //hit even though it was A and B during entire switch case execution
