So i posted about the possible class action on this site. i see lots saying it dont matter cause site owner is not responsible for what others post. To what extent and for how long? So i i owned a site and someone posted highly illegal stuff but it was getting lots of downloads or hits on the site. Im not responsible because i didnt post it?

If you have a strong ToS I am sure you are indeed not responsible. Otherwise MediaFire etc wouldnt exist.
But I really don't know for sure and am probably just screaming non sense.

Depends on your ToS and what was posted.
If you are willingly hosting child porn, that will be a problem.
But if it's something else a user submitted you can for the most part say it's on them.

This right here. Although, you are most likely covered by "Section 230". Basically, it states that a site owner/operator isn't responsible for whatever his site's users posts/submit to it. However, I believe it was recently changed around because of sites like backpage.com and I'm not sure if you would still be covered. Honestly, you really shouldn't be taking legal advise from members here on HackForums lmao they literally sell blatant malicious programs and think that adding "This is for education. I'm not responsible" to their TOS means they've covered themselves adequately.

True but i did research looking on Krebs site etc.. This site has had programs taken down by international crime task force that were sold here and heavily advertised here right under the admins watch. I could understand if it was one little post the the site was marketing this product approving advertisements etc...
