Higher refresh rate = lower fps??? - Uzmer - Jul 24, 2018

Id be upgrading my monitor soon from 60hz 900p to 240hz 1080p. Benq XL2540 is my option. Will i get less fps or performance once i use the 240hz? I have gtx 1050ti 12gb RAM and i5 330. I get 120-200 fps on csgo.

If u change resolution to higher one fps will drop but not much. When it comes to refresh rate it wont hurt your fps

Yes you will see lower fps on higher resolution. it's that many more pixels the GPU has to display and the CPU also has to send more instructions to the GPU, you should drop the i5-330 and upgrade the motherboard, ram, CPU instead of buying a monitor......

EDIT: I believe you meant i5-3330..... either way I stand buy my statement above.

Don't get a 240 Hz monitor with those specs.
You won't even get anywhere near that frame rate in pretty much any game.
Worry about upgrading your PC like Gt403cyl said.
