Shingeki no Kyojin - Season 3 - Decim - Jul 26, 2018

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3's first episode aired on 22nd July.
This season will have 24 episodes but will supposedly contain very little titan action and will be focusing more on the political aspects of the state.
Thoughts on ep1?

Ep 1 was alright so far, been a year since S2 so forgot that they all somewhat ended up back together.
However similar to S2, I feel that the current/new antagonists/dilemma is forced from the get go rather than slowly building up characters. They'll probably spend the next ep doing a combo of flashbacks and action to make everyone ignore this fact.

I've read the manga but it always feels amazing to finally see it animated :') and the soundtrack still on point (bless u Sawano)
the pacing feels really fast compared to the manga but I don't mind. I feel like people would be complaining more if it was slow paced + no titans
and I actually just remembered that it's gonna be 24 episodes.. that means only the first half will have little titan action, second half will be mind blowing !!! no spoilers ^_^

I partly agree. The new antagonist from Levi's past seems kind of forced but as for the church, I feel like they've built up to that very well in a subtle manner through S1 and S2.

I hope so. At this point, they have so much source material, they can afford to be fast. You've got me pretty excited for this season, fingers crossed.
