DarkComet not connecting to test client on Lan - DethByte - Jul 26, 2018
Ive made the darkcomet payload and executed it on my test machine but my client isnt showing any servers kinda weird. And yes i have put in the right port / ip and disabled antivirus and opened the designated port. Any ideas?

Did u also disable windows defender? Myb firewall is blocking connection.

Please don't use darkcomet, it's an outdated vulnerable rat that has more exploits than functions, use something else like NJRat or Quasar or babylon.

Are you executing the payload on windows 8.1 or windows 10? Because it does not work on them. The server control panel works but not the payload. You'll have to use another rat

I think QuasarRAT is way better than DC outdated project...
Try to check if windows firewall is blocking ports.

Yeah I would also recommend Quasar it works very well.

ah that explains it i was executing on a win10 box. i am happy to say that pupy, njrat, and metasploit worked and i do like njrat very much. thank you.

I currently use NjRAT as it is well made and easy to use. I have had issues in the past compiling Quesar on Kali Linux and will soon try again. I just wanted to try out darkcomet to see how well it was. Firewall was open... Solved > windows 10 will not allow that server to work <

njRAT is great rat, but now it scantime+runtime get detected, even the dll's will not work very good in runtime. QuasarRAT is best option right now bro.

Test your server on testmybin.net. Test it there and then if it doesn't work then you did something wrong. Make sure you're not using the same port for something else cause it causes confusion on the server.
