Too much price manipulation on exchanges... - aota - Aug 6, 2018 I've noticed on a certain exchange (gdax aka coinbase pro) there will be people with mass amounts of money putting orders in to buy and sell coins then canceling them within seconds of placing them to convince others to buy/sell at that price. I've seen it happen all the time. Coinbase needs to put a limit on the amount of "canceling" you can do in a minute's time, do you agree? RE: Too much price manipulation on exchanges... - soar-x - Aug 6, 2018 welcome to cryptocurrency. RE: Too much price manipulation on exchanges... - Beamer Boy - Aug 6, 2018 Ahh... Coinbase. The same site, whos system "broke down" back when Bitcoin Cash came out, so people were selling for $200 less than people were buying for, so Coinbase magically was making 30% commission on all BCH transactions for 24 hours. Yeah. Don't trust the site anyways. It's probably themself doing it. Just pretend those offers don't exist and you won't get "manipulated" by them. illegal in traditional markets RE: Too much price manipulation on exchanges... - Ice - Aug 8, 2018 (Aug 6, 2018 05:33 PM)shreder Wrote: illegal in traditional markets Alot of things are 'illegal' doesn't mean they don't happen even though they shouldn't. RE: Too much price manipulation on exchanges... - Omniscient - Aug 8, 2018 Oh yeah, this has been going on since MtGox. There are few exchanges which do anything to prevent manipulation.
