Probably just paranoid but its good to be safe.
Im planning to buy a Raspberry pie + Screen + Keyboard and other essentials, This should work well since I can easily replace the sd card. I have heard about rootkits/bios malware would I still be vulnerable to this kinda stuff when using fresh sd cards + raspberry pie :/
What could I do to configure this device to be secure and still have acess to the internet
-Im not sure how I should go about making a bootable USB since I dont know any secure devices....
-Im mainly worried that someone could have infected me VIA internet connection while using the same network
Maybe a few pointers/tuts on monitoring my devices would be nice, I know very basic info.. but not enough!

You shouldn't have a reason to be paranoid about keeping ur devices safe and secure since people don't really give a fuck about ratting phones now adays... If ur phone isn't jailbroken then it can't be ratted, if you're phone is jailbroken then just watch out for certain apps you download because they could have a built-in or injected rat.
