Can yall sign my petition. - Mr. Robot - Aug 15, 2018
This shit has been bugging me for so long I have finally decided to try do something about it.

Basically Twitch.tv everyone has different mic volumes, trying to listen and relax - especially as I fall asleep watching streams, as many people do, then an ad comes on and it's fucking disgustingly loud.

Some people think it's not an issue, either they are talking shit or have never tried to relax/sleep. I think people would be surprised at how many people try to sleep with videos playing and use twitch for it.

I support you fully on this issue. I used to get annoyed when ads would pop up and completely obliterate my fucking eardrums. I don't really watch anyone on Twitch anymore, but I still signed for you.

I used to load up Twitch on my smart TV from time to time, and it was pretty unbearable until I actually logged into my prime account. Viewing as a guest sucked. Either I had the volume down so low in fear of loud ads that I couldn't hear the actual content, or I let the volume stay at a normal level and hope I'm not disturbing anyone in a 4 block radius when the ads to come on.

Been just chillin the last couple hours tryna grab some sleep and these goddam ads wont stop increasing in volume, right now the worst offender is some rap bullshit ad. No idea who the artist is - when it comes up again i'll try check but the other ads are loud - sure - this one however is 10x LOUDER than what i'm complaining about.

Surely one can code something that limits an application's dB gain to a certain amount, essentially an equalizer? Most audio devices on Windows have the equalizer as an audio enhancement in the sound panel.

There is a reason why the ads are loud eg YouTube, Twitch or Spotify to catch your attention. That's how the huge world of online ads works. Even if you get these signatures, they will not do anything about it. Try to install adblock.
