Computer struggling with certain tasks - Sinsio - Sep 2, 2018
Hello. I've had this gaming laptop for about 7 years now. Still running games with no lag (100-200 fps).
But for the last couple of weeks, the updating process of games takes forever. A 50mb update can easily take 10-15 minutes. And when the laptop is updating, opening a simple folder takes 5-10 seconds.
Any idea what hardware is failing?

How much free space do you have left on your hard drive? Do you hear any strange noises from your hard drive? Might also want to run a S.M.A.R.T test on your hard drive just to check what condition it is currently in.

It sounds like an issue with your harddrive reading/writing data if you have good stable internet speeds that can do other things.

Yes, of course it would be the harddrive. I'll do a disk check and whatnot.
And should have mentioned that my internet is fast and stable.
