Anyone have experience repairing elite controllers - NoBarsHandler - Sep 8, 2018
I have 6 best buy xbox one elite controller returns in my possession and i would like to repair 1 for myself and 5 to sell. I have 6 pair of xbox one analog thumbsticks òn it ways but i cant decide on the bumpers. Are the standard bumpers different from the elite controller bumpers? Can i use any bumpers to repair my controllers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The bumpers are different. MUST have elite bumpers. Check the insides of the joysticks for the number 8.
(these are the highest quality make)
As for repair the main problems with bumpers seems to be the depression pad not the actual bumpers themselves.
(when you open it up these are 2 small white cork looking things the size of an eraser) That is what needs to be replaced.
Thumbsticks are easy to fix, if it's lose add cotton/tape to the inside. If it doesnt feel fluid make sure the magnet isn't off center, a dab of metal lubricant will fix most else.
