Looking for resources on learning how DLL injection works / how a DLL injector is made. Can't seem to find any decent resources online.
Also, not sure if this is the right section to post on but being as C# is the language i'm familiar with...

It's not a tough general concept to learn and there are many resources about it. The most well known method (to get started with) is CreateRemoteThread() and LoadLibrary(); obviously easily detected.

For dll injection, it'd be like the above answer except CreateRemoteThread https://resources.infosecinstitute.com/using-createremotethread-for-dll-injection-on-windows/
