Steady SEO Increases - Omniscient - Sep 26, 2018

You can see in HF's Google Search Console that our impressions and clicks are greatly improving since we've made new changes to the site. I like updating members frequently about the stats I'm reviewing almost daily.

At our low point in February/March we had as few as 5k clicks but now we're currently at 12 month peaks with 11k.

I know that the responsive theme and other SEO changes we've done to HF will continue to improve our ranking position. My best guess is 3-6 months to double our current clicks and impressions.

So for those talking a lot of crap about HF, I suggest you curb your glee at our demise, because we aren't dead at all. We're only getting started.

Awesome, I have a decent amount of experience in SEO, but never had a site with these kind of stats. It's cool seeing the progress from just a couple changes!

Going to enjoy seeing new faces here and seeing some of them having the same permissions as ub3r if not more.

Wow the graph shows like BTC going to moon .
Yeah we can imagine soon HF will be getting more new members and visitors with huge traffic .

Great work HF team and Omni . Keep it going on .

Wow, great to see the increase! I'm sure HF will become more active than ever with all the good changes happening in the last few months.

RE: Steady SEO Increases - Elitas - Sep 26, 2018

Yep, sounds about right - Good work on the changes BTW!

Quote:Now I’m curious how the new traffic correlates to new active (atleast 1 Post) accounts.

I have plans within plans. Eventually I will add some features to encourage new members to immediately post and participate on HF.

Honestly, byte-limits for specific sections on the forum would be great. Encouraging new members to earn these bytes in order to access specific privileges, and then actually force a value on bytes, as they are now additionally useful for the average user's forum experience. Also maybe the ability to purchase a specific award/upgrade or whatever could be some fun ideas. Bytes are incredibly fun but could potentially use some more value (such as something to actually do with them other than gambling). Just my opinion, really great feature and excited to see the future though. 👍

I could wire bytes to a couple of my alternate accounts, spam whatever I wanted, and that would bypass most byte limitations.

Sure, it could be traced back. But then that’s maintenance that staff has to do that they didn’t with the current implementation.

Bytes definitely have potential to be useful around the forums though.

Umm, but you can already create account and spam all those sections anyway? Putting a byte-limit doesn't magically make it easier to spam.

Been noticing new faces more consistently. Traffic increase is definitely making an impact.

He means it as a introductory limit. Basically restrict some niche subforums and maybe even as far as all the other tabs until user generates X bytes by posting in the General tab first.

Or that's how I understood it as. 🤫

RE: Steady SEO Increases - Skorp - Sep 27, 2018

I can definitely agree being night time Staff, that I noticed increased activity in terms of traffic/posts/members during the nightly hours of HF. Let's keep it going through the roof! :)

RE: Steady SEO Increases - webdev77 - Sep 27, 2018

I haven't checked the post stats to see how much of an increase there has been, but from daily experience activity certainly seems to be going up a bit from a few months ago.

RE: Steady SEO Increases - phunted - Sep 27, 2018

Heading into October, really excited to see what's planned for Halloween.

It’s only makes sense, ever since the theme was dropped the introduction section has been on fire, I’m loving it and the new theme.

I honestly barely ever go on my computer now because it’s just so easy to use.
