[Complete TuT] Complete Jailbreak, No Computer, iPhone 4 Supported! - Relentless™ - Aug 4, 2010
Alright guys I searched around for a guide like this and I didn't find anything.
If this has already been mentioned then please link me the thread. Thanks. Having said that, onto the tutorial.
Briefing
This tutorial will explain how you can jailbreak your iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone without a computer. It's all completely done on your device. Only thing you need is a wifi connection.
Below are 3 tutorials. Click the spoilers to view each tutorial.
These took me a while to write guys so please leave feedback! :)
IF YOU FUCK THIS UP, I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. I'VE DONE THIS ON AN IPOD TOUCH 2G AND AN IPHONE 4, BOTH ON IOS 4.0 AND IT WORKED. IF IT FUCKS UP FOR YOU, IT 'S NOT MY FAULT. By following this tutorial you are jaibreaking your device solely at your own risk.
Supported Firmwares
iPhone (all versions)
3.1.2
3.1.3
4.0
4.0.1
iPod Touch (all versions)
3.1.2
3.1.3
4.0
iPad (all versions)
3.2
3.2.1
How To Jailbreak [Step By Step]
I HIGHLY recommend you restore your device to a factory firmware of what you are going to jailbreak FIRST. Example: If you are planning to jailbreak your iPhone on ios 4.0, then restore your iPhone to ios 4.0 before the jailbreak. This jailbreak will jailbreak whatever firmware you are currently running. Please Note: You must have iTunes 9.2.1.
Step 1) Turn on your device. Make sure your device and firmware are supported. To check your firmware, go to Settings>General>About. Your firmware version will be next to 'Version'.
Step 2) Open Safari.
Step 3) Go to the url http://jailbreakme.com
Step 4) Slide the unlock slider which says 'Slide to Jailbreak'.
Step 5) A screen will popup asking you if you want to Jailbreak. Hit Jailbreak.
Step 6) It will say 'Downloading... this might take a while.' Allow it to fully download. For me, it took around 5 minutes. If this Downloading screen does not pop up, then simply refresh the page in safari and try again. Do NOT refresh the page if it is Downloading or Jailbreaking. You WILL fuck up your device.
Step 7) Once finished downloading, a new screen will pop up which will say 'Jailbreaking... Sit tight.' Just wait for this to finish - it took around 10 minutes for me. Be patient. If the bar doesn't seem to be going up, LEAVE IT. Your device MUST complete this stage or you will be left on a corrupt firmware.
Step 8) Once finished, it will say 'Cydia has been added to the home screen. Have fun!' You can now close safari.
Step 9) Cydia will be on your home screen. You're now officially jailbroken 👍
How to get the Installous app (allows you to get paid apps for free :D)
Step 1) Open Cydia. This will take a few minutes to load, so go watch a youtube video or something.
Step 2) Once loaded, on the Cydia screen hit 'Yes, make my life easier' or something. This is only if this option is available. If you don't see this, don't worry - it's an optional step, but it does make stuff easier for you.
Step 3) Tap Manage at the bottom of the Cydia screen.
Step 4) Hit Sources.
Step 5) Click edit at the top right, then Add at the top left.
Step 6) Type in the following source EXACTLY (That means caps and slashes too!):
Step 7) Hit add and wait for it to add the source.
Step 8) You'll get a pop up about how piracy is discouraged etc... like you guys give a fuck though, right? ;p Just hit ok.
Step 9) Now you've added the cydia source, you can stop editing the sources by hitting ok or cancel or something at the top of the screen.
Step 10) Now you can click the hackulo.us source.
Step 11) You will now be on a page with everything from hackulo.us. This is called a repo. You don't really need to remember that, but it's just for future reference.
Step 12) Look for AppSync. You will want to download the AppSync which is right for your version. Check and see if there is a green tick next to one of the AppSyncs. If there is, then it's already installed for you and you can skip this step.
Step 13) Scroll down and look for Installous. Once you've found it, click it, then tap Install at the top right.
Step 14) Allow Cydia to install Installous. It will take a few minutes. Once finished, it will say Reloading Data... for a while. Once this has dissapeared, you can tap Return to Cydia.
Step 15) Now you have Installous on your home screen. This is basically an App Store which is loaded with cracked apps. Just go ahead and download some 👍
So you fucked up, eh? Now your iPhone is on a corrupted firmware, or it just doesn't respond. Not to worry, here is the tutorial on how to fix your device. Please note: You will need a computer to do this.
Step 1) Your device should be on. If it won't turn on, then you'll just have to attempt to follow these steps as best you can. Plug your device into your computer. iTunes needs to be open.
Step 2) Hold the power and home buttons down for 10 seconds. The power-off slider should come up - IGNORE IT. Keep holding the two buttons untill 10 seconds is up.
Step 3) The screen should now be black. After 10 seconds is up, let go of the power button but keep holding the home button for another 10 seconds.
Step 4) After another 10 seconds, you can let go of the home button. Your device is now in Recovery Mode. The screen may be white. Your device will not turn on now untill we restore it. If you want to turn your device on whilst it's in recovery mode, then you simply need to repeat the process above but let go of all buttons when the apple appears on screen 🙂
Step 5) A warning message should pop up in iTunes which says 'iTunes has discovered a device in recovery mode. The device will need to be restored before it can be used with iTunes.' Hit ok.
Step 6) Hit Restore.
Step 7) Wait for your device to fully restore (can take up to 20 minutes)
Step 8) Once restored, you should now be able to use your device again 👍 Feel free to try the jailbreak again but don't fuck it up again 🤣
If your device is still fucked, then please post your problem here and I will do my best to help you out. However, as I wrote at the top of this tutorial, if I can't help you fix your device, it's your problem, not mine.

They're 3 different tutorials. The first tut is how to jailbreak, the second tut is how to get free apps and the third tut is if anything fucked up.
Follow the first tutorial to jailbreak then the second one after it :)

Installous isn't necessary, but in order to get free cracked apps you will need Installous.
