Accessing blocked sites at work - Ted™ - Sep 29, 2018 I've tried most of the famous web proxies found online but most of them seem to be blocked and even if they aren't block they don't really work like when i try to use sites like YouTube the videos won't even work. So does anyone know a good web proxy i can use or any other method to access blocked sites while i am at work ? RE: Accessing blocked sites at work - Juffar - Sep 29, 2018 Have you tried using a VPN? RE: Accessing blocked sites at work - Bear - Sep 29, 2018 Do the machines give you access to install anything you want without admin perms? If so, try a VPN. RE: Accessing blocked sites at work - CyberStrike - Sep 29, 2018 hmm .. welcome to corporate, I remember that a few places I worked for just white listed sites and we had to submit sites to be whitelisted, I had to do this for icanhazcheezburger, so I can look at cat pictures. Now a few things most companies use their own proxy so they have some kind of transparency and an idea of sites being accessed, that whole work related stuff so employees aren't surfing like cat pics or something. I found was that whitelisted sites that had a link you can go anywhere they linked and employees at a certain level would get their own website on the intranet. So sometimes the referrer is also used to determine if the link is good or no. Now I really should mention that work isn't the place to mess with the settings you can quickly find yourself looking for a new job. No i need permission to download anything that's why i am looking for something like a web proxy RE: Accessing blocked sites at work - Justforyou™ - Sep 29, 2018 Mostly depends on your specific work environment but, on a pc depending on os, maybe try usb booting a Linux distribution and grabbing the hashes from Windows and crack them? To get admin access and install the software? Besides that you can also try to access the hardware that's blocking the websites and look for an entry/exploit and change it(the website that's blocked) ;) If there's a img that's gets reset at boot, usually the imaging software is also installed, so login and make new image to boot with your software added. From my own experiences. All depends on environment and what u are willing to do. RE: Accessing blocked sites at work - Terry A. RE: Accessing blocked sites at work - PerfectStorm - Sep 29, 2018 Isn't it the firewall that is blocked you? Not the IP specifically. It's pretty easy to set up and I guess can help you to unblock websites. |
